ALR Property — Farm Plan & Reclamation
Richmond, BC · 2025
Our Role
Titrin AgriSoil Solutions prepared a Farm Plan alongside a Reclamation Management Agreement (RMA) for an ALR property in Richmond undergoing soil works, with Tish Titina, P.Ag., leading the file directly. We set the agronomic standard for the land's return to agricultural use and aligned the soil works with Agricultural Land Commission expectations.
Outcome
The property received a coordinated Farm Plan and RMA package documenting how the land would be reclaimed and managed for agriculture, giving the landowner a clear, regulator-informed pathway for the soil works and the eventual return of the parcel to a productive agricultural standard.
Deliverables
- Farm Plan setting out intended agricultural use, soil and growing-medium requirements, and a practical operating layout for the parcel
- Reclamation Management Agreement (RMA) defining how soil works would be carried out and the land returned to an agricultural standard
- Site and soil assessment establishing baseline conditions and the reclamation target
- Regulator-aligned documentation suited to Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR) and City of Richmond review
- Phased reclamation and management guidance for ongoing agricultural use of the land
ALR Property — Farm Plan & Reclamation, Richmond, BC
Soil works on Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR) land sit where agronomy meets regulation: when fill is placed or soil moved, the Agricultural Land Commission’s interest is that the parcel ends up usable for farming. For this Richmond property, Titrin AgriSoil Solutions prepared two documents working together — a Farm Plan setting out the parcel’s intended agricultural use, layout, and growing-medium and soil requirements, and a Reclamation Management Agreement (RMA) defining how the soil works would be carried out and the land returned to an agricultural standard.
With Tish Titina, P.Ag., leading the file directly, TAS assessed site and soil conditions, established the reclamation target, and framed the soil works as a managed process with reclamation as the defined outcome. The landowner came away with a coordinated, regulator-aligned package suited to ALC and City of Richmond review, and a single accountable point of contact from assessment through to the management framework — reflecting how TAS handles soil, fill, and reclamation questions on ALR and farm land across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
