ALR boundary realignment, Richmond
Athiana Acres needed to realign a lot boundary on farmland inside the Agricultural Land Reserve — a change that answers to both the Agricultural Land Commission and the municipality, and that has to be justified on agricultural grounds rather than drawn on a plan alone.
Titrin built the agricultural rationale at the centre of the file, reviewing the site and its soils against the objectives the ALR is meant to protect and framing the realignment in terms of how it would support, rather than fragment, the agricultural capability of the parcels. Because the change answered to two authorities at once, we coordinated the ALC and municipal requirements so they moved together, sequenced the documentation, and gave the owner a single P.Ag. as point of contact. The result was a complete, defensible application — a clear agronomic justification paired with the documentation each body required — assembled and submitted on the owner’s behalf.
